Nestled in the Idaho mountains, members of this gym often find themselves forgetting about the burn while they get lost in the views.
Some might argue that it doesn’t matter where you do your daily workout, as long as you get some good exercise. Still, having a gym in an amazing location never hurts, especially when you can be motivated by the beautiful sights that surround you. At the Zenergy Health Club and Spa in Ketchum, ID, members often find that they get so wrapped up in the views that they are able to forget just how hard they are working.
At 48,000 square feet, the Zenergy facility features weight training and cardio gyms, a squash court, and tennis courts. It has both indoor and outdoor saline pools, and the outdoor pool has gorgeous views of nearby Bald Mountain. The health club has fully dedicated studios for classes in yoga, Pilates, cycling, and general fitness. Classes cater to all ages and skill levels from “Little Tennis” (for 4 to 7-year olds) all the way up through the Active Aging classes for senior citizens.
In addition to classes, members can benefit from personal training as well as small group training clinics that are offered by Zenergy’s fitness team. The club has over 40 instructors and trainers on staff, many of whom are top athletes in their sports. In addition to the general training staff, the gym also has a specialized “youth team,” who are experienced in working with younger athletes.
When members aren’t busy working out, they can enjoy special events put on by the club, which include poolside concerts during the summer. You can watch a video with highlights from the first summer concert in 2012, featuring jazz musician Steve Eaton playing in the beautiful outdoor portion of the facility while members enjoy swimming in the pool: http://vimeo.com/46710554
Membership at Zenergy comes at a premium, costing patrons $15,000 to join and then $135 per month. In addition to being popular among residents of the nearby Thunder Spring luxury housing and condo complex, skiers are able to visit the gym after a day on the slopes since a free day pass is included with the price of a spa treatment. The full-service spa, which is also part of the facility, includes nine treatment rooms as well as a hair salon and a nail studio.
Zenergy was voted one of the “Coolest Clubs in America” by Shape Magazine under the category “Nicest Scenery.” It was also named one of CNBC’s “Most Luxurious Fitness Clubs Across America.” For a luxury workout in the middle of some of Idaho’s most beautiful natural wonders, the gym at Zenergy really can’t be beat.
